Price list online auction for jumping youngsters and broodmares

Münster: The Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch e.V. hosted its last auction of  2020 with an online auction for youngsters and broodmares with jumping potential. Nine youngsters changed hands for an average of 16,444 Euros. Four broodmares were worth an average of 7,500 Euros to the customers. The highest price was achieved by an I'm Special de Muze son, who sold for 34,000 Euros.

Even before the start of the actual bid up, the head number 6 Instinct was very popular among interested parties. A total of 14 bidders wanted to secure the brown bred by Jan Hansen, Twedt, and exhibited by the BG Konopka/Wefers, Billerbeck, shortly before Christmas. The I'm Special de Muze/Diarado son descents from the Holstein line 1298. He is very clever and has all the potential to become a great jumping prospect. The virtual hammer for this stallion fell at 34,000 Euros. He will move into the stable of the show jumper Jörne Sprehe in Bavaria. Quazim with the head number 3 (breeder: ZG Kellermann, Nottuln; exhibitor: Reinhard Geers, Borken-Gemen) was also very popular. The Quasimodo van de Molendreef/Chin Chin son, born in April 2018, descents from the Holstein line 1916. He convinced in free jumping with caution and ability. Quasimodo van de Molendreef is also the sire of the great Hello Santos, who won the Rolex Grand Slam with Scott Brash. Quazim moved to Mexican ownership this evening at a price of 27,000 Euros. Among the six broodmares in foal, the performance mare jumping Porsche was the most popular. The Pontifex/Alcatraz daughter (breeder and exhibitor: Bernd Gerlach, Ense) was successful in show jumping up to advanced level competitions. She is currently in foal to Ogano. After an exciting Bid Up, she changed hands for 8,250 Euros.

A total of 13 horses found new owners this evening for an average price of 13,692 Euros. Seven of these will move into their new homes abroad. At the three youngster and broodmare auctions in December, the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch e.V. sold a total of 49 horses and ponies at an average price of 15,592 Euros. A total of 764,000 Euros was realised here. "With this auction, we say goodbye to a successful auction year 2020. Despite difficult conditions, we made the best out of the situation. In total, we sold around 550 horses and foals this year with a turnover of a good 12 million Euros. This year has shown that the online auctions are a promising addition to the normal auction activities of the associations. We will continue to hold online auctions in the coming year. Nevertheless, we are looking forward to welcoming our customers again in the usual atmosphere in the auction hall in Münster-Handorf," summarises Auction and Marketing Manager Thomas Münch.

This was the last auction of the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch e.V. for the current year. Nevertheless, there will not be a long break. The following collections are already in the starting blocks. On January 17, about 50 riding horses and riding ponies will be up for sale in another online auction. From the current Bundeschampion to the partner for the higher amateur sport, there is a horse for everyone. The auction candidates will move into their boxes in Münster-Handorf on January 4, 2021. The collection with photos, videos and complete information can be viewed before Christmas at onlineauction.westfalenpferde.de. Current training impressions will be available from  January 11. Bids can be submitted from January 12 to 17. The bidding starts on the Sunday of the auction at 2 pm. One day later, around 20 high-quality unridden youngsters will be up for sale online. This Bid Up will start on Monday evening, January 18, as usual at 7.30 pm.
